Green Carbon Talent are seeking a skilled and qualified Solar PV Electrician to join a leading renewable energy contractor based in Wigan.
This is a permanent position offering stable, long-term work across the North West region, with opportunities to contribute to the installation and maintenance of cutting-edge solar PV and battery storage systems.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified electrician with hands-on experience in renewable energy installations, capable of working safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and commission solar PV and battery storage systems

Carry out electrical works in accordance with BS7671 regulations

Perform inspection, testing, and fault diagnosis on PV and EESS systems
-
Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical and safety standards

Maintain clear site documentation and work reports

Liaise with site managers, clients, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery

Travel regionally (and occasionally nationally) as required for project delivery
Requirements

Level 3 Electrical Installation, Inspection & Testing qualification

EESS (Battery Storage) qualification – essential

18th Edition Wiring Regulations
-
ECS Gold Card
-
Proven experience installing and maintaining solar PV systems

Full UK driving licence

Strong understanding of health and safety in electrical and construction environments

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
