About the Role
Our client, a leading specialist in façade systems and architectural cladding solutions, is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand their portfolio of high-profile projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the strategic growth of the business within the façade and building envelope sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial, residential, and industrial façade markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Lead the preparation and submission of proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
Collaborate closely with internal teams (design, technical, and project management) to ensure feasibility and deliverability of proposals.
Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote the business and strengthen brand presence.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Report on pipeline, progress, and results to senior management regularly.
Experience & Skills Required
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar within the façade, cladding, or building envelope sector.
Strong track record of winning and delivering projects, ideally with architectural or curtain walling systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand client requirements and translate them into viable business opportunities.
Proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of UK building regulations and façade systems is highly desirable.
