Job Title: Design Manager
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000
Location: London (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office, remainder remote)

About the Role
Our client, a leading specialist in façade design and delivery, is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their London-based team. The role combines office-based collaboration with remote working, overseeing the design process for high-profile façade projects and ensuring technical excellence and smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full design process for façade projects from concept through to fabrication and installation.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including engineers, designers, and external consultants, to deliver fully integrated solutions.
Review, approve, and issue technical drawings, details, and specifications in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Chair and facilitate design coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
Work closely with Project Managers to monitor progress, manage risk, and maintain project timelines.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on façade systems, materials, and detailing.
Ensure all design information supports procurement and construction programmes efficiently.
Experience & Skills Required
Proven experience as a Design Manager within the façade / cladding / building envelope sector.
Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, including rainscreen, curtain walling, and unitised solutions.
Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing external consultants or suppliers.
Excellent understanding of UK building regulations, CWCT guidelines, and façade performance standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software; experience with 3D modelling advantageous.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
