Project Director – Data Centres (Europe)
Location: Europe (projects across multiple countries)
Salary: Six-figure base salary + comprehensive package
The Role
Our client is a leading international contractor operating in the mission-critical sector, with a strong and growing portfolio of large-scale data centre developments across Europe. They are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of complex, high-value full-envelope data centre projects.
This is a senior leadership position with end-to-end responsibility for programme execution, client interface, and overall commercial and technical performance across multiple projects and geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for large-scale data centre projects across Europe
Take full accountability for programme, cost, quality, safety, and risk across the project lifecycle
Lead and coordinate internal delivery teams, consultants, and supply chain partners
Act as the primary senior point of contact with clients and key stakeholders
Oversee pre-construction strategy, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual, commercial, and regulatory requirements
Drive best practice in project governance, reporting, and performance management
Support business growth through repeat work, client relationships, and operational excellence
Candidate Profile
Proven experience operating at Project Director / Programme Director level within the data centre or mission-critical sector
Strong background delivering full-envelope projects (CSA and MEP exposure highly advantageous)
Demonstrable experience managing large, complex, multi-country projects
Excellent commercial, contractual, and risk management capability
Confident senior stakeholder manager with strong leadership and communication skills
Willingness to travel across Europe as required
