Design Manager – Facades / Cladding Projects
Location: Hybrid – 2 days in office, 3 days from home
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + package
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design of facades and cladding projects. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining three days from home with two days in the office.
The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with technical standards, programme requirements, and project budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design for facades and cladding projects
Coordinate design with structural, MEP, and architectural teams
Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and company standards
Resolve design queries and technical issues in collaboration with project teams
Oversee production of design packages for construction handover
Manage and mentor design team members and external consultants
Maintain accurate documentation of design decisions and revisions
Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a Design Manager on facades and cladding projects
Strong technical knowledge of façade systems and building envelope solutions
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with external consultants
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with hybrid working: 3 days from home, 2 days in office
