Design Manager – Full Envelope / Re-Cladding Projects
Location: High Wycombe (4 days from home, 1 day in office)

The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design of full envelope and re-cladding projects with values up to £15m. The role offers hybrid working, allowing four days from home with one day in the High Wycombe office.
The Design Manager will oversee design development, coordination, and delivery, ensuring compliance with project requirements, technical standards, and programme timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage design for full envelope and re-cladding projects up to £15m
Coordinate design with structural, MEP, and architectural teams
Ensure design compliance with specifications, regulations, and company standards
Resolve technical queries and design-related issues in collaboration with site teams
Oversee the production of design packages for construction handover
Manage and mentor design team members and external consultants
Maintain accurate documentation and records of design decisions
Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a Design Manager on full envelope and re-cladding projects
Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, building envelopes, and installation methods
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with hybrid working: 4 days from home, 1 day in High Wycombe office
