Job Title: Senior Designer
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000

About the Role
Our client, a respected specialist in façade engineering and delivery, is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join their growing team in Watford. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and coordinating detailed façade design packages, with a strong emphasis on rainscreen cladding systems.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed façade designs, drawings, and technical documentation in line with project requirements.
Take ownership of design packages, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Collaborate closely with Design Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Site Teams to resolve technical and coordination issues.
Develop 2D and 3D design information to support fabrication and installation.
Review architectural and structural information to ensure fully coordinated design solutions.
Provide technical support throughout tender, procurement, and construction phases.
Attend and contribute to design and coordination meetings.
Mentor junior designers and help promote best-practice standards within the team.
Experience & Skills Required
Proven experience as a Designer or Senior Designer within the façade / cladding / envelope industry.
Strong technical knowledge of rainscreen cladding systems, including detailing and performance requirements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, SolidWorks, or similar 3D software is advantageous.
Good understanding of UK building regulations, CWCT standards, and façade engineering principles.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently on complex design packages with attention to detail.
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
